The hotel had a particularly good and amazing position, close to train station. It was good to be 1 mile away from The Hot Dog Stand, serving short-orders.

Room was impeccably clean and beautifully maintained and clean.
Good beds and central heating, a fridge and a writing table. Nice bathroom with bathtubs; helpful staff. Particularly good location as only 5 minutes to Aurora Dora Art Gallery. And only 10 minutes walking to downtown...

The packed lunches were great! We enjoyed wandering to Talkeetna tAKo for some tasty bites and Mountain High Pizza Pie for a slice of heaven. Plus, the grounds were beautiful-perfect for chilling by the river with games right at your fingertips!
The staff seemed a bit lost on our reservation, and those rooms were snug with some repairs needed-bathroom shelves barely hanging on. No TV either, but who needs one when you're out adventuring? Just be ready for a coffee hunt if the office isn't open!

The room decor felt dated, definitely in need of a refresh!!! Walls were too thin, I could hear almost every word from the neighbors!!! Overall vibe would benefit from a better layout for privacy!!!

Charming riverside experience with a rustic vibe
We really appreciated our room's view of the river and the mountains in the background. The location allowed us to easily walk down the road to explore the town and enjoy the local shops. The room itself was older but clean, with a mosquito zapper, necessary given the area. I do wish there was breakfast available on-site to make mornings easier!

I had a lovely stay. the outdoor games and the gorgeous garden by the river made it feel like a mini-vacation. The room was cozy and had great amenities, but be aware that the walls are quite thin. I'd definitely come back!

Really good location by the river with easy access to the town's attractions. The room was spacious, with a great shower and added comforts like earplugs for a peaceful night. The staff were really good, assisting with various non-issue services. Unfortunately, my room faced a noisy hallway, and it lacked sufficient airflow.
